The CosGala is founded on the fundamental ideals of unity, uplifting Cosplay, craftsmanship, Entertainment, and improving the quality of spirit in the community, and the Arts. Inspiration for the Gala came in no small part to our founders trips to Venice, Italy and her experiences with Carnival. We wish to foster, encourage and celebrate the craft of Artists in a safe, inclusive environment.

We deeply encourage the arts and will take focus to also promote minority voices and artistry in these communities as The CosGala was created and run by a Black - Queer - Plus Size woman, Anita Riggs.

We found that the cosplay community is lacking high-end events to connect, build, and nurture an artist-driven community. Everyone is welcome and most importantly we wish to provide fun. We are here to bring you experiences, not just events. The Met Gala but for nerds!
